When is the Deadline to File Form-1099-K for the 2023 Tax Year?

Prior to the tax year 2023, the Payment Settlement Entity was required to file Form 1099-K if the reportable gross payment exceeded $20,000 and if more than 200 transactions were made in the particular calendar year. However, under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) new 1099-K rules have been imposed. Form 1099-K threshold has been reduced to $600 with no minimum
number of transactions.

When is the Deadline to File Form-1099-K for the 2023 Tax Year?

The IRS requires PSEs to furnish Copy B to the recipient on or before January 31, and the Form 1099-K deadline to file paper copies with the IRS falls on February 28th. Form 1099-K should be e-filed with the IRS on or before April 1st.
